Situated near to the peaceful village of Belfort-Du-Quercy in the Le Lot region of France, Quercy Haut is a stunning, characterful house set on 4 acres of protected land. Sleeping up to 6 comfortably, the house can be found down a private drive, has a 9×4-metre saltwater pool and is a haven for peace and solitude. Abundant with nature, Quercy is modernised inside and comes with a fully equipped kitchen, power shower and bath, as well as indoor and outdoor fireplaces, a Plancha and air conditioning.
Situated an hour’s drive from Toulouse airport, the stunning medieval town of Puylaroque is close by, as are the larger cities of Cahors, Caussade and St Antonin Noble. Gastronomic restaurants are in abundance, with local markets to be found in the area on most days. The river Tarn flowing through the Gorge de Aveyron is a 20 min drive away, offering activities such as kayaking, rock climbing, Go-Ape etc. And slightly further afield there is the beauty of Saint Cirq Lapopie, with its array of boutique shops and stunning views across Le Lot. If you need some urban time Montauban and Toulouse are within an hour’s drive.
Interior: Downstairs
An entrance hall and cloakroom leads into the open plan dining room/sitting room/kitchen area. With a round glass dining table seating 6, a sofa, a fireplace and a hidden TV, this spacious room opens out with double doors onto the gravelled outdoor space that leads onto the decked pool and stunning view across the valley.
The kitchen has everything you need including modern oven, microwave, all utensils and pans, crockery, cutlery and fridge. Off the main room, a corridor leads to a children’s bedroom with triple bunk , main bathroom with bath and shower and finally a master bedroom with king-size bed and built in wardrobes.
Interior: Upstairs
Through a slightly inventive trap door held in place with an aeroplane propellor, there is an additional bedroom with two king-size mattresses (please note these are on the floor not a bedframe and are only suitable for children due to being under low eaves), a tv and a toilet with sink.
Exterior
Surrounded by 4 aces of private, protected land, Quercy Haut is incredibly peaceful and isolated. There is a gravelled terrace immediately outside the house where you will find a large exterior table seating up to 12., giving out onto the view down the valley. Outside the garden, extended fields surround the property, one with football goals in, allowing you to really make as much noise as you like, or just enjoy the peace and quiet. The saltwater pool is directly in front of the house and has a walk on safety cover, and the immediate garden is fenced in, great if you have younger children.
